On May 12, 2026, a delegation from Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co., Ltd. (UCD) led by Mr. Haihe Mao - Global Marketing Director paid a visit and held a working session with the Railway Project Office of Transport Engineering Design and Construction Investment Consultancy Joint Stock Company No.1 (TECCO1).
During the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia – Chief Technology Officer and Director of Railway Projects at TECCO1 – introduced an overview of TECCO1, the Railway Project Office, as well as the railway and urban railway projects currently being implemented by the company.
Representatives of UCD presented the company’s capabilities and experience in the fields of urban planning, consultancy, design, and urban railway construction. Established in 1958, UCD provided design and survey services for Beijing Metro Line 1 – the first subway line in China. In addition, UCD also served as the design consultant for the Cat Linh – Ha Dong urban railway project in Vietnam.
To date, UCD has developed a complete industrial chain integrating design consultancy, construction engineering, technology industrialization, and planning consultancy. The company has participated in urban railway planning and design consultancy projects in more than 40 cities and currently operates in 64 cities across 17 countries, with a workforce of nearly 5,000 employees.
UCD has completed approximately 2,600 km of urban railway projects, accounting for around 20% of the total urban railway length in China. Furthermore, the company has led the development of 23 national and industry standards, including many important standards and design codes for urban rail transit systems. UCD also provides full-system, full-process, and multidisciplinary design services for urban railway projects.
At the meeting, UCD expressed its desire to explore cooperation opportunities with TECCO1 and its interest in participating in railway and urban railway projects in Vietnam in the coming years.
The meeting took place in an open and constructive atmosphere, laying the foundation for future cooperation opportunities between the two parties in the development of transportation infrastructure and urban railway systems.
