On the morning of September 14, 2026, in Hanoi, Mr. Bui Tran Long, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Transport Engineering Consultant and Investment Joint Stock Company No. 1 (TECCO1), welcomed and met with a delegation from Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology Co., Ltd. (TMT), led by Mr. Kevin Hao, Vice General Manager - Rail Transportation Business Unit.
During the meeting, representatives of TMT provided an overview of the Company’s history and development, research and development capabilities, international experience, as well as its products and technological solutions.
Established in 1984, TMT originated as the Rubber Laboratory under the Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute of the Ministry of Railways of China. After more than 40 years of development, TMT has grown into an international technology and manufacturing company, a first-tier subsidiary of China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC) and a listed company. The Company operates research, manufacturing and business facilities in various countries, including Germany, France, Slovakia, Mexico, Australia and Brazil.
Mr.Kevin Hao introduces products and technology of TMT
In the railway sector, TMT develops and supplies a wide range of products and solutions for railway vehicles and infrastructure, with a focus on materials technology, vibration control and noise reduction. Its railway vehicle products include suspension systems, inter-car connection products, wheels, and materials and components for vehicle bodies.
TMT’s suspension systems include rubber springs, air springs, control arms, rubber bushes, anti-roll bars and energy-absorbing components. The Company also supplies resilient wheels, solid wheels and inter-car connection products, contributing to improved stability, ride comfort and operational safety.
Railway vibration and noise reduction solutions are among TMT’s notable strengths. The Company introduced a range of products, including rail base systems, resilient pads, rail dampers, vibration isolation systems for rail fastenings, rubber rail-sleeper encapsulation systems and third-rail cover supports. For bridges and other structures, TMT develops vibration-control products such as bridge bearings, hydraulic dampers, expansion joints and viscous dampers. These solutions have strong potential for application in urban railway projects, particularly in areas with stringent requirements for vibration and noise control.
TMT also shared its capabilities in materials research, simulation, structural design and technical performance testing. With extensive experience accumulated over many years, TMT’s products have been applied to various types of railway vehicles and systems in China and international markets.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Bui Tran Long highly appreciated TMT’s advanced products and materials, particularly those serving the railway sector as well as infrastructure and construction in general. He also recognized TMT’s comprehensive capabilities, ranging from materials research and development, simulation and structural design to technical performance testing.
On behalf of TECCO1, Mr. Bui Tran Long provided an overview of the Company’s history and development, its consultancy capabilities in the transport sector, particularly railways and urban rail transit, as well as TECCO1’s strategic direction to further expand its railway business in the coming years.
TECCO1 is progressively developing its capabilities toward integrated railway consultancy services, covering master planning, pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies, FEED design, detailed engineering design, systems integration consultancy, BIM, digital transformation, and solutions supporting railway management and operations. Alongside strengthening its domestic capabilities, TECCO1 is actively expanding its network of cooperation with international companies, organizations and technology partners in the railway sector.
The discussions highlighted a number of potential areas of cooperation between TECCO1 and TMT, particularly the opportunity to combine TECCO1’s capabilities in consultancy, engineering design and systems integration with TMT’s technological expertise, research and development capabilities, manufacturing capacity, and specialized railway products and solutions.
The two sides held initial discussions on potential areas of cooperation, focusing on jointly exploring opportunities aligned with the development needs of urban rail transit, high-speed rail and other railway projects in Vietnam in the coming period.
Mr. Bui Tran Long highly appreciated the visit and working session with the TMT delegation and expressed his expectation that the two sides would continue professional-level discussions and gain a deeper understanding of TMT’s capabilities, products and technological solutions in order to identify specific areas for cooperation.
The meeting was held in an open, substantive and constructive atmosphere, creating opportunities to strengthen the relationship between TECCO1 and TMT and contributing to the expansion of TECCO1’s international partner network as part of its strategy to develop its railway business.
