Ho Chi Minh City has issued Decision No. 2031 dated April 17, 2026, announcing the list of projects calling for investment in the city for the 2026–2030 period.

In the transport infrastructure sector, the City is seeking investment for 9 urban railway (metro) lines with a total length of approximately 375 km and total estimated investment of VND 981,000 billion, specifically:

• 1. Metro Line No. 1: Ben Thanh to An Ha, 21.1 km in length, with an investment of VND 86,521 billion. The route passes through wards: Ben Thanh, Cau Ong Lanh, Ban Co, Vuon Lai, Dien Hong, Phu Tho, Hoa Binh, Binh Thoi, Tan Phu, Phu Thanh, Binh Tri Dong, Binh Hung Hoa, Binh Tan, Vinh Loc;
• 2. Metro Line No. 2: Tham Luong - Cu Chi and Ben Thanh - Thu Thiem, total length of 50.97 km, with an investment of VND l 73,176 billion;
• 3. Line No. 1: Binh Duong New City - Suoi Tien, length of 29.01 km, with an investment of VND 46,725 billion. The route passes through Dong Hoa, Tan Dong Hiep, An Phu, Tan Khanh, Binh Duong;
• 4. Line No. 2: Thu Dau Mot City - Ho Chi Minh City, length of 21.87 km, with an investment of VND 59,968 billion. The route passes Binh Duong, Thu Dau Mot, Phu Loi, Thuan Giao, Thuan An, Lai Thieu, Binh Hoa, Hiep Binh;
• 5. Line No.3: Vung Tau - Ba Ria - Phu My, length of 63 km, with an investment of VND 127,645 billion. The route passes through Vung Tau Ward, Tam Thang Ward, Rach Dua Ward;
• 6. Metro Line No. 3: Hiep Binh Phuoc - An Ha, nearly 46 km, with an investment of VND 133,300 billion. The route passes through wards and communes such as Tan Vinh Loc, Binh Loi, Tan Nhut, An Lac, Phu Lam, Binh Thoi, Binh Tay, Cho Lon, An Dong, Vuon Lai, Ban Co, Cau Ong Lanh, Xuan Hoa, Tan Dinh, Gia Dinh, Binh Thanh, Hiep Binh.
• 7. Metro Line No. 4: Dong Thanh (Hoc Mon) – Hiep Phuoc (Nha Be), 47.32 km, with an investment of VND 157,405 billion. The route passes through Binh My commune, Dong Thanh commune, Thoi An commune, An Phu Dong ward, Go Vap ward, Tan Son ward, Tan Son Hoa ward, Phu Nhuan ward, Cau Kieu ward, Tan Dinh ward, Saigon ward, Ben Thanh ward, Khanh Hoi ward, Vinh Hoi ward, Tan Hung ward, Nha Be commune, Hiep Phuoc commune.
• 8. Metro Line No. 6: Inner ring road (section from Ba Queo station – connecting line No. 2 towards Phu Huu), length of 53.8 km, with an investment of VND 211,602 billion. The line is prioritized for early implementation to connect Tan Son Nhat International Airport and Long Thanh International Airport. The route passes through Tan Binh, Tan Son Nhi, Tay Thanh, Tan Son, Tan Son Nhat, Tan Son Hoa, Hanh Thong, Binh Loi Trung, Hiep Binh, Thu Duc, Phuoc Long, Tang Nhon Phu and Long Truong;
• 9. Thu Thiem – Long Thanh line, length of 41.83 km, with an investment of VND 84,752 billion. The route passes through Binh Trung, Long Truong, Nhon Trach commune, Phuoc An commune, Long Phuoc commune, Long Thanh commune.
